Shaheen Women’s Degree College is a Muslim minority private unaided institution affiliated with AKKAMHADEVI WOMEN’S UNIVERSITY VIJAYPUR. Shaheen Women’s Degree college was established in 2011 and is located in the heart of Bidar city & is easily accessible by road and rail.
Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University formerly known as Karnataka State Women’s University, established in 2003 in the city of Vijayapura (Formerly Bijapur), is the only Women’s University in Karnataka dedicated exclusively to women’s education. It is recognized under 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act. It has been accredited ‘B’grade by NAAC. The university is also a recipient of four Stars in KSURF rankings. One hundred and thirty-seven women’s colleges of Karnataka are affiliated with this University and one PG center at Sindhanoor and Udutadi. One Extension center at Mandya is also offering various programs.
Shaheen Women’s Degree College is run by the registered society headed by Dr. Abdul Qadeer a Kannada Rajyotsava Awardee and educationalist.
Dr. Abdul Qadeer is a visionary educationist and the founder of Shaheen Education Foundation, is an engineer by profession. The SEF was founded in 1989. The Shaheen Education Foundation consists of various schools and colleges across India.
The Society made a tremendous revolution in imparting quality education for P.U students, and offering exclusive coaching for XII, NEET/ AIIMS/ JIPMER/ KVPY.
